Apart from the many restaurants and pubs in Woodhall Spa you will also find the Kinema in the Woods and Kinema Too - an unusual rear-projection system cinema but showing all the latest films!
Woodhall Spa has first class sports facilities, including an open air heated swimming pool, tennis, bowls and is home to the English Golf Union’s Headquarters with its Hotchkin Course ranked 46th in the World! Competition anglers flock to the rivers Bain and Witham and walkers love Woodhall Spa as it is on the Viking Way route. Pine and Birch Woods surround the town.
Just down the road at RAF Coningsby is the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight Visitor Centre and Museum, showcasing the aviation history of the region and the famous WWII aircraft that are still flying today. |

The seaside resorts of Skegness and Mablethorpe are about an hours drive away, with miles of unspoilt sandy beaches, plus all the fun of the fair! If you enjoy browsing antiques then Horncastle is a must - the next town on from Woodhall Spa. Then there is Sleaford, approximately 20 miles away, a busy market town. You really must visit Cogglesford Mill, a fully restored and working water mill set in beautiful surroundings on the River Slea. Also there is the Hub Centre for Craft and Design, a recent addition to the town, on the banks of the River Slea. Here you can visit the many exhibitions and also purchase high quality art and craft items. Visit the market towns of Louth, Alford and Spilsby - honestly there are too many lovely, interesting villages to mention here. When we moved to Lincolnshire, from Kent, 12 years ago, we had many enjoyable Sundays exploring all these wonderful small market towns. |
